The Ligeti series concludes with the highly lauded Pierre-Laurent Aimard, who had a long association with Ligeti and is regarded as a key interpreter of the music of our time. Here he pairs the composer’s visceral, exciting, and textural Ă©tudes with Beethoven’s sonata widely considered to be one of the most demanding and important works of the piano repertoire.
