Event Description

This concert will present the sound of the flute in many guises: in the elegant melodic arabesques of Toru
Takemitsu, the rough beatbox sounds of Janice Misurell-Mitchell, and in the rich textures of Jonathan
Hannau’s recent pieces for voice/flute and piano. Performers include Suzanne Gillen-Hannau and Janice
Misurell-Mitchell, voices and flutes, Jonathan Hannau, piano, and John Corkill, percussion.
