Event Description
THIS CONCERT IS SOLD OUT!
Featuring music heralding the arrival of Spring that celebrates the wonder of nature, musicians of Chicago’s Fifth House Ensemble feature music by classical masters (J.S. Bach, whose birthday coincides with the first day of Spring) along with music by three living recipients of the Pulitzer Prize who consider the cyclic renewal of the earth from a contemporary perspective. Travel through nearby Wisconsin Woods with flute music by Native American composer Brent Michael Davids, and visit Appalachia through Steven Snowden’s gorgeous setting of an old mountain folksong; it’s an afternoon for appreciating some of nature’s most special places as we look forward to enjoying another season of the great outdoors.
