2021

Event Description

Dreaming/Undreaming was commissioned as a music video by The Princeton Festival in June 2021. In the Ear Taxi Spotlight Concert version, pianist Natasha Stojanovska performs a live recital of music created by Carmen-Helena Téllez alongside works by J.S. Bach, while eliciting videos in real time by Camilla Tassi and Ryan Belock, with dramaturgy by Chía Patiño, and movement by Alexa Capareda. Presented on both Saturday 9/18 and Sunday 9/19, the audience is encouraged to attend both performances. On Saturday, we will show the original video/music relationship designed by the creators. On Sunday, the audience will select the video sequence to generate alternative narratives. Both versions will be available exclusively to ticket-holders in a dedicated website.

KOSMOLOGIA is an ongoing artistic and research project led from Chicago by conductor, composer, scholar, and creative producer Carmen-Helena Téllez. Kosmologia is dedicated to the ideation and production of interdisciplinary works involving music in dialogue with scholarship and other arts, while employing the human voice and technology as favored expressive vehicles. Kosmologia works independently and in collaboration with other artists and institutions to produce immersive and interactive artistic works that break traditional boundaries between the arts and the audience, frequently addressing both topics in history and current cultural concerns.
