Conducted by La Caccina Artistic Director Carling FitzSimmons, this program wrestles with the divine by asking, how should we respond to immense loss and tragedy?

Sung nearly two years after the COVID-19 pandemic first arrived in Chicago, this program will illustrate the myriad ways in which people have grappled with unfathomable tragedies, and the small, yet unbreakable voice that continually calls us back to ourselves and our humanity. Featuring works by composers Kathleen Allan, Elizabeth Alexander, Jeffrey L. Ames, Saunder Choi, Kevin Puts, and Caroline Shaw.
