Event Description

A Triptych: Earth, Moon, Peace. A spectacular evening of music by Augusta Read Thomas, featuring three major works: the world première of her new Chi for String Quartet, written for Spektral; Resounding Earth – the profound and meditative sound of over three hundred bells – written for Third Coast Percussion, performed at this concert for the first time in the rich acoustic of Rockefeller Chapel; and Selene, Moon Chariot Rituals, played by the two ensembles together.

This performance will run approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
