Our spring concert explores the issue of human migration and the ways in which categorization of demographic groups enables human beings to become callous to the stories of individuals. The concert will feature a performance of Caroline Shaw’s breathtaking cantata To the Hands and a work by Filipina composer Anya Lagman concerning one’s relationship to their country of ethnic heritage. These will be complemented by selections from our first-ever Call for Scores: new works by Alissa Voth, Xingzimin Pan, and Max Vinetz.
