Join WFC on Saturday May 9 at 7:30 pm as the 15th century and the 21st century talk to each other in Rivers, taking place at Church of the Atonement in Edgewater. Majel Connery’s captivating multi-movement work The Rivers are Our Brothers sits alongside Antoine Brumel’s imposing and monumental “Earthquake Mass.” Each for 12 solo voices, these two works juxtapose vocal chamber music from 6 centuries apart. They’ll be paired with new music by Chicago-based composer and New Music Chicago member Ben Zucker. Hear the earth, water, and air come alive in dialogue, and bask alongside WFC in a curated, sonic experience that is not to be missed.
