Duo Diorama, comprised of violinist MingHuan Xu Choi and pianist Winston Choi , present a recital featuring works by John Corigliano, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Bernstein, bringing together powerful voices of the 20th and 21st centuries in a program that bridges lyricism, drama, and contemporary expression. The concert also points toward an important international collaboration taking place at Roosevelt University this spring. Under the direction of Winston Choi, Program Director of Piano, the Chicago College of Performing Arts will host the North American Round of the Concours international de piano d’Orléans as part of Spring 2025 PianoFest. Presented in partnership with Notre École de Musique and its French cultural mission, this event brings one of Europe’s leading competitions for contemporary piano music to Chicago, connecting CCPA’s piano program with a vibrant tradition of French artistic innovation and global exchange.
