
AMPLIFY! A Festival of Asian American Music, Sound, and Scholarship 2026 – Evening Concerts
The Music of Asian America Research Center, in partnership with Asian Improv aRts Midwest and Elastic Arts, is pleased to present “AMPLIFY! A Festival of Asian American Music, Sound, and Scholarship 2026.” The festival brings together engaged scholarship and live performance to cultivate a vibrant community of musicians and sustain dialogue across artistic, academic, and public spheres. The in-person component of the festival will take place from Thursday, September 24 to Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Evening concerts are open to the public. Concert Programs Featuring Works by Living Asian American Composers, Including Reena Esmail, Texu Kim, and Others. NMC member Koeun Grace Lee will perform Texu Kim’s Co.Ko. – un poco loco and Pansori Fantasy for solo piano.
On Thursday and Friday, there will be a suggested donation benefiting Asian Improv aRts Midwest, where the concerts will be held. On Saturday, there will be a $20 admission fee for the public, and the concert will be held at Elastic Arts.
